5. Accessibility on the Web

This week we researched the need to make sure webpages are accessible to those who have visual impairments.  Not only did I need to pick colors that work well together, but can be seen easily with different forms of colorblindness.  It is also important code works well for screen readers that may be needed for people who are fully blind.

Besides the research on web accessibility, we also learned how to include links going to different parts of the same webpage.  This way it is easier to get back to the top, or to the section of choice.  We needed to validate our page, which we’ve done every week, but we also needed to validate through “Cynthia Says” which makes sure the page is accessible for colorblindness.

Here is my Accessibility page.
